Jeep Renegade (concept)

Automobiles

The Jeep Renegade was a hybrid off-road concept car that Jeep first exhibited at the 2008 North American International Auto Show. It was the first Jeep to use a hybrid drive system, with two electric motors that each produced 134 horsepower and a 1.5 litre Bluetec three-cylinder diesel engine producing 115 horsepower, for a total of 383 horsepower. Its centre console had a thermal unit that could heat or cool food. It is a separate vehicle from the production Renegade subcompact crossover that later took the name.
