The Jaguar R4 was a Formula One car with which Jaguar Racing competed in the 2003 season, driven by Mark Webber, Antonio Pizzonia and Justin Wilson. After three years in the sport and a turbulent period that had cost Niki Lauda and Bobby Rahal their leadership roles, the team became much more stable under Tony Purnell and David Pitchforth. The designers aimed for a much stiffer chassis than the R3 and planned a concerted programme of testing, though reliability problems left the car barely ready for the opening race. Webber recorded several sixth and seventh place finishes and the team finished sixth in the constructors' championship, while Pizzonia lagged behind and was replaced by Wilson.
