The Jaguar R1, originally the Stewart SF4, was the Formula One car with which the Jaguar Racing team competed in the 2000 World Championship, the first Jaguar-badged F1 car after Ford bought the Stewart team in 1999. Eddie Irvine, who had come from Ferrari, and Johnny Herbert, who had driven for Stewart, were the drivers. The car was disappointing despite flashes of promise, qualifying in the top ten under Irvine but suffering poor race pace and an unreliable gearbox; Irvine scored four points and the team placed ninth among constructors. It was Herbert's last F1 car, and Luciano Burti made his race debut in it. It ran in British Racing Green with a white leaping cat on the engine cover.
