The Jaguar I-Pace was a battery-electric five-door hatchback made by Jaguar Land Rover under the Jaguar marque and was Jaguar's first electric car. It was designed by Ian Callum, shown as a concept at the 2016 Los Angeles show and revealed in production form in Graz on 1 March 2018, where contract manufacturer Magna Steyr built it. Two permanent magnet motors, one per axle, gave all-wheel drive with a combined output of about 295 kW from a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery, with a WLTP range of 292 miles and a top speed limited to 124 mph. It won European Car of the Year in March 2019 and World Car of the Year the following month. Some of its drive technology came from the Jaguar Formula E programme. It was discontinued in 2024.
