The Jaguar C-XF, or Concept-XF, was a concept car designed to show the preliminary styling cues of the yet to be announced Jaguar XF. It was unveiled at the 2007 North American International Auto Show, and the production XF was announced in the autumn of 2007 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The project was led by design director Ian Callum and head of advanced design Julian Thomson. It featured a 4.2 litre supercharged V8, a six-speed automatic with Jaguar Sequential Shift, single slim wedge-shaped headlamps evolved from the twin-lamp motif of past Jaguars, a performance-themed interior with a JaguarDrive Selector and Dual View screen, and a Bowers and Wilkins audio system. An earlier prototype styled on the S-Type had been built but was rejected.
