Jaguar B99

Automobiles

The Jaguar B99 was a concept car designed and developed by the Italian design house Bertone and first shown on its stand at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The four-door saloon was shown in two forms, a compact executive B99 and a grand tourer B99 GT, and was styled by Michael Robinson and Adrian Griffiths on the traditional Jaguars of the Geoff Lawson era rather than the recent Ian Callum designs. The B99 was 4,500 mm long and 1,350 mm high on a 2,800 mm wheelbase, with aluminium panels and rear-hinged doors. Its powertrain was a Bertone hybrid, with a 1.4 litre range-extending engine and two 201 bhp electric motors, and the B99 name stood for Bertone's 99th year. The GT2 racing version was wider and lower with four motors and 972 bhp. Jaguar said it would not ask Bertone to develop it.
