The Isuzu Gemini is a subcompact car that Isuzu built in Japan from 1974 until 2000. The first generation, introduced in November 1974 as the Bellett Gemini, was a rear-wheel-drive car on the General Motors T-car platform, related to the Opel Kadett C, and came as a four-door sedan and a two-door coupe. Later versions were front-wheel drive, and the last two generations were Honda Domani models wearing Isuzu badges. Diesel engines were offered from 1979, and a turbocharged diesel followed in 1982. General Motors sold the same basic car under other names around the world, among them the Holden Gemini in Australia and the Isuzu I-Mark in the United States. From 1981 the Gemini line was complemented by the Giugiaro-styled Isuzu Piazza coupé.
