The Honda VTR1000F had a single generation, the SC36, produced from 1997 to 2005. Its innovations included a frame that is semi-pivotless, radiators at the sides, a single casting for the engine case, connecting rods using cap screws in place of nuts, and intake valves of 38 mm, the largest Honda had ever used on a production motorcycle. Honda brought in a number of upgrades from model year 2001, among them a larger tank, modified front forks, wheels in black, smaller indicators, a less extreme riding position and a new LCD dash. Each model year has its own page.
