Honda produced the VTR1000F, frame designation SC36, a sport bike with a V-twin of 90 degrees, from 1997 to 2005. It was known worldwide as the Firestorm, and in the USA it was marketed as the SuperHawk. It was introduced in 1997 using an all-new 90 degree V-twin engine and an HMAS Honda Multi-Action System fork and shock. The bike also ushered in several new design concepts for Honda, such as a semi-pivotless frame, where the engine is a stressed member and the swingarm is bolted directly to it, as well as side radiators and a single-casting engine case. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into one generation: the SC36 (1997 to 2005 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
