Honda built the first generation Vigor (SZ and AD) as a variant of the Accord for Japan only, from September 25, 1981, a more upscale 4 door sedan and 3 door hatchback whose only engine was a 1.8 L unit with Honda's CVCC-II system. It was a sportier, faster and livelier Accord with more equipment, and it helped the market get ready for a luxury car from Honda, which came in 1985 as the Legend. Each model year has its own page.
