Honda Varadero (XL1000VA)

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The XL1000VA was the first XL1000V Varadero, Honda's flagship adventure touring motorcycle, with a V-twin engine of 996 cc, shown to the public at the Munich motorcycle show of 1998. Honda first launched it in 1998 as a 1999 model, and its engine design comes from the VTR1000F Firestorm. The adventure category refers to motorcycles designed for long-range touring with basic off-road capability. In 2001 Honda introduced the Honda Ignition Security System, an engine immobilizer, and production moved to the Montesa Honda factory in Spain. Each model year has its own page.
