The first generation TRX450R of 2004 and 2005 had an engine with a 10.5:1 compression ratio producing about 33 horsepower, and a 42 mm Keihin butterfly carburetor. Many were let down because it was weak next to the CRF450R, and in 2004 and 2005 the camshaft was the one part that could be swapped between the ATV engine and the motorcycle engine. The 2005 model was untouched from the 2004 version apart from a black plastics color option. Each model year has its own page.
