Honda manufactured the ST1100, with a longitudinal V4 of 90 degrees and 1,085 cc, between 1990 and 2002, and a police variant, the ST1100P, was available for several more years. It was introduced to the European market a year before it was available in the United States, filling a niche between the Honda VFR750F sports tourer and the larger Gold Wing. It was optimized for long-distance touring with shaft drive, optional ABS and traction control, an exceptionally large 28 litre fuel tank and a large 40 amp alternator. Each model year has its own page.
