1990 Honda ST Series Pan-European

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The ST1100 of 1990 had a 90 degree V4 engine, cooled by water and mounted inline, rather than the flat four of the Gold Wing, but it took most of the Gold Wing's other characteristic engineering such as shaft drive, a full fairing and integral panniers. Europe received it a year ahead of the United States. The fuel tank sat below the saddle, with the tank in the usual place merely covering the air filter, to keep the center of gravity low and handling sharp.
