Honda MH02 (prototype)

Supersonic and Experimental Aircraft

Honda built the MH02 prototype with Mississippi State University to research composite construction and where to place the engines; it was complete in 1992 and flew for the first time on 5 March 1993. It was never intended for production but was the first all-composite light business jet to fly. It has engine mounts above the wing, a forward swept wing and a T-tail, and carries one or two pilots and up to six passengers. Flight testing continued through 1996, after which the aircraft was shipped to Japan. Each year with a dated event has its own page.
