Honda built the Element as a compact crossover SUV and sold it in North America through a single generation, for the 2003 to 2011 model years. It is noted for its boxy exterior styling with bi parting side doors and its boxy, flexible interior layout. It was built in East Liberty, Ohio on a modified second generation CR-V platform with front wheel drive or Real Time 4WD, followed a concept called Model X that debuted at the 2001 North American International Auto Show, and total production reached approximately 325,000 by late 2010, shortly before its discontinuation. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into one generation: the single generation (2003 to 2011 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
