The Dio AF18 of 1988 started the Dio series, powered by a single cylinder two stroke engine, the AF18E, air cooled, of 49 cc and with electric start. Early models featured a 12 mm crankshaft and produced 6.4 PS, later revised to 6.8 PS, and the AF18 established the basic mechanical layout and styling of later Dios. Honda produced the SP, SE, Aztek Edition and Marine Edition as special editions, and the Dio SR AF25 followed in 1990. Each model year has its own page.
