Honda built the CR-Z as a sport compact hybrid electric vehicle and sold it as a sport hybrid coupe. It combines a gasoline electric hybrid drivetrain with features typical of a sports car, including a standard six speed manual transmission and a 2+2 seating layout, except in North America where it was offered only as a two seater. It was seen as a spiritual successor to the second generation Honda CR-X and used the sixth generation of Honda's Integrated Motor Assist technology. Honda said the name stands for Compact Renaissance Zero. Production ended at the end of 2016 to make room for the Accord Hybrid and Clarity. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into one generation: the single generation (2010 to 2016 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
