Honda introduced the eighth-generation RR, the SC57 II, in 2006, with advances in small steps over the earlier model and less weight. Changes for 2006 included a revised front fairing, new rear suspension with new linkage ratios and a new chassis geometry, a lighter swingarm, a higher compression ratio from 11.9 to 12.3 to 1, a redline raised from 11,250 to 12,200 rpm, a new exhaust system and larger diameter but thinner brake discs. Each model year has its own page.
