Honda revealed the second-generation BR-V, chassis DG3, in Indonesia on 21 September 2021, after previewing it on 3 May 2021 as a near production concept called the N7X Concept. Development was led by Large Project Leader Parinya Tangwiengwang of Honda R&D Asia Pacific. It uses the 1.5 liter L15ZF DOHC i-VTEC four cylinder engine producing 89 kW, with the continuously variable transmission shared with the seventh generation City. Indonesian production started on 13 December 2021, and Honda claims 80 percent localisation. Each model year has its own page.
