Honda produced the 1300 between 1969 and 1972, and in October 1972 it was facelifted and rebranded as the Honda 145, a nameplate that ended in October 1974. The largest car manufactured by the company to that point, above the S800 sports car, the front-wheel-drive 1300 was released as a sedan or a coupe. It was an ambitious project spearheaded by Soichiro Honda, plagued by engineering delays and sold at a high price compared to its competition. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 2 generations: the 1300 series (1969 to 1971 model years); the 145 series (1972 to 1974 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda. The 145 nameplate of 1972 to 1974 shares this page because the English Wikipedia covers both in one article.
