Hino Rainbow

Buses and Road Mass Transit Vehicles

The Hino Rainbow is a medium-duty single-decker bus marketed by the Japanese manufacturer Hino since 1980. The range can be built as a complete bus or as a bus chassis, and it was available as a city bus for the midibus and as a tourist coach for the minibus. Asia Motors, now Kia Motors, also built a version of it. The Rainbow RB with a rear engine and the Rainbow AB with a front engine were minibuses built as tourist coaches, and the Rainbow HR was a rebadged Isuzu Erga-J and a non-step, low-entry city bus. The HR1J engine is the J08C, a six-cylinder 8 litre diesel of 220 PS.
