The Guy Otter was a chassis from Guy Motors of Wolverhampton, listed among the firm's trucks and also built up as a passenger vehicle. Guy kept updating its older models after the Second World War, and in 1950 it introduced a new version of the Otter chassis for 30-seater vehicles, of which London Transport ordered 84. After the founder Sydney Guy retired in 1957 the company brought out updated versions of the Otter and the Warrior. By 1954 Guy passenger vehicles were run by 150 companies in Britain and in 26 countries abroad, and the firm kept a strong emphasis on export sales to major markets including South Africa, Pakistan and the Netherlands.
