The third generation was a badge engineered Mazda Demio, called the Festiva Mini Wagon, and it was sold only in Japan as a five door hatchback with a 1.3 or 1.5 litre engine. It overlapped the second generation from 1996, so only 2001 and 2002, the years when it was the only Festiva, have their own model year pages here. Its model years run from 1996 to 2002. The Festiva was a small Mazda designed hatchback that Ford sold in several markets, some of them under other names.
