The 1955 Customline was redesigned with new longer, lower and wider bodies. It continued as the mid range trim level, now positioned below the new Ford Fairlane and above the Ford Mainline, and was offered in two door sedan and four door sedan body styles only, with the wagons now included in their own series. Its engines were a 223 cubic inch inline six or a 272 cubic inch V8. Its model years run from 1955 to 1956.
