Ford Corsair

Automobiles

The Consul Corsair, soon called just the Corsair, was a midsized Ford made by Ford UK, first shown in October 1963 at the London Motor Show, and on sale as a saloon or estate from 1964 until 1970. It replaced the Consul Classic and was essentially a long wheelbase, re skinned Cortina with extra soundproofing and more comfortable seating. The Mark 3 Cortina replaced it in 1970, after 310,000 Corsairs were built. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the Consul Corsair and Corsair V4 (1963 to 1970).
