The Fiat 645N was a medium-tonnage multipurpose lorry built by the Italian maker FIAT V.I. from 1959. It was identical to the Fiat 650, which was approved for 10.5 tonnes gross weight, because road approvals of the time were specific to each vehicle. It filled the gap in the range between the small Fiat 615 and the Fiat 642 carriers, a sector otherwise held by the subsidiary OM with its zoological range, the Leoncino and Tigrotto among them. It took the robust chassis of the Fiat 642 with a new FIAT 213 engine of 4.7 litres and a narrow, smaller second-generation forward-control cab. It was built in four series, 645N to 645N3, until 1972, when the Fiat-OM X range replaced it.
