The Ferrari F40 is a mid engined sports car built from 1987 to 1992 to mark Ferrari's fortieth anniversary, powered by a twin turbocharged V8 in a lightweight composite body with no interior luxuries such as carpeting or a radio. It was the last car personally commissioned and approved by Enzo Ferrari before his death in 1988 and is widely regarded as one of the defining supercars of its era.
