The Dornier Do 13 was a short-lived German bomber design of the 1930s, the aircraft that came out of attempts to improve on the Do 11. Only a few were built because the design changes caused serious problems, and many of the first flights ended in crashes. A further redesign produced the Do 23, and the Do 13s still under construction were converted to the Do 23 design. The article lists an initial production Do 13c and an improved Do 13d, each powered by two BMW VI geared V-12 engines of about 740 horsepower, with a wingspan of 28 metres and a maximum speed of 260 km/h.
