The first series Stealth used the same body as the 3000GT but was set apart by a cross hair front bumper, different pillar and quarter window shapes and a crescent shaped rear spoiler, and it did without the active aerodynamics of the Mitsubishi. Early Mitsubishi twin turbo cars had all wheel drive and four wheel steering, while the base Stealth carried a single cam V6, the ES and R/T a twin cam V6 and the R/T Turbo twin turbochargers. Its model years run from 1991 to 1993.
