Dixi S 12

Automobiles

The Dixi S 12 was an early four-cylinder car of the Fahrzeugfabrik Eisenach, built from 1904 under the Dixi marque that had just replaced the Wartburg name. Its engine displaced 2,815 cc and gave 20 PS. A 1976 history of the Eisenach works places it in the series of S types that began with the S 1 and says the later S 15, rated at 24 PS and fitted with overhead valves, grew out of it. The works offered its Dixi chassis of those years with many bodies, from open touring cars and phaetons to landaulets, coupes and limousines. The German Wikipedia model list gives the S 12 a start year of 1904 and no end year.
