Automobiles

The Denza B5, sold in China as the Fangchengbao Bao 5, is a plug-in hybrid mid-size SUV made by BYD Auto under its Fangchengbao and Denza brands. The Bao 5 was introduced in China in August 2023 and went on sale in November 2023 through Fangchengbao direct sales stores rather than BYD dealerships, and it is the first vehicle of the brand's Bao series. From 2025 it was sold in export markets as the Denza B5. It is an off-road oriented SUV with body-on-frame construction and BYD's Dual Mode Off-Road Super Hybrid system, with approach and departure angles of 35 and 32 degrees. The Bao 5 combines a 1.5 litre turbocharged petrol engine of 145 kilowatts with two electric motors and three differential locks for 505 kilowatts, while the Denza B5 version produces 400 kilowatts. It reached Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and Singapore as the Denza B5.
