De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Series 100

Airliners and Commercial Jet Aircraft

The Series 100 is the original version of the De Havilland Canada Dash 8, the twin turboprop regional airliner that de Havilland Canada introduced in 1984. It carries 37 to 39 passengers and was first powered by the Pratt and Whitney Canada PW120, with later aircraft using the PW121, each engine rated at 1,800 shp (1,340 kW). Production of the Series 100 ran from 1984 to 2005, and the last one built was a Dash 8-102 in 2005. It was followed by the more powerful Series 200 and the stretched Series 300. Its variants include the -101, -102, -103 and -106, a freighter conversion, and the CC-142 and CT-142 military versions flown by the Canadian Forces.
