The Daimler DR450 was a limousine variant of the Majestic Major DQ450 saloon, produced from 1961 to 1968 and the last complete car designed by The Daimler Company Limited. Made for the carriage trade, as an executive express or as a hire car for those needing more than a five-seater, it sold in numbers close to those of the saloon it was based on. Its chassis was 24 inches longer than the saloon's, and its 4,561 cc hemi-head V8 took about 2.25 tonnes to 100 km/h in under 11 seconds with a top speed of 183 km/h. The chassis was a box-section frame separate from the all-steel body, with Girling disc brakes, power steering and seating for three in front, three in the back and two on folding occasional seats. The Jaguar Mark X appeared the same year.
