The CMC Towny, sold in Chinese as Duoli, was the first passenger car launched by the Taiwanese automaker China Motor Corporation in 1985. It was the fifth generation Mitsubishi Minica built under licence in Taiwan, and it became the first Taiwanese made car with a sunroof; the actor Jackie Chan was hired to endorse it at launch. It was a small car, only 3,195 millimetres long and 1,395 millimetres wide, yet its cabin was 1,715 millimetres long so that five people could ride in it. Power came from a 796 cc inline three cylinder naturally aspirated water cooled petrol engine with a five speed manual gearbox, giving 43 PS at 5,000 rpm and 6.6 kilogram metres of torque at 3,000 rpm. The suspension used MacPherson struts at the front and a three link coil sprung rear axle, with front disc brakes as standard. The Taiwanese lineup lists the Towny as a discontinued CMC model dated 1985 to 1992.
