The Citroen Xantia is a large family car designed by Bertone and produced by the French automaker Citroen from 1992 to 2001, after being presented to the press in December 1992 and given a facelift at the end of 1997. It began as a hatchback only, and an estate version built by Heuliez appeared in September 1995. Power came from PSA XU petrol engines, with a V6 at the top of the range. The Xantia Activa V6, with its active anti-roll bars, long held the record speed in the Swedish magazine moose test. Citroen built 1,216,734 Xantias at Rennes, production continued in Tehran from 2001 to 2010, and the Citroen C5 replaced it in 2001.
