Citroen C6

Automobiles

The Citroën C6 is an executive saloon that Citroën built from 2005 to 2012, planned as the successor to the XM. It grew out of the C6 Lignage concept shown at the Geneva show in 1999, and reached production almost six years after the XM ended, in November 2005. Its fastback profile and concave rear window recall the CX, though it has an ordinary boot. It used Hydractive 3+ suspension, a lane departure warning system and a bonnet that lifts 65 mm to protect pedestrians, which earned four stars in that Euro NCAP test. Engines were a 3.0 litre V6 petrol and V6 and four cylinder diesels. French presidents Jacques Chirac and Nicolas Sarkozy used it as an official car. Production ended in December 2012 after 23,384 cars, and a different C6 was sold in China from 2016 until 2023.
