Chrysler Valiant (VG)

Automobiles

The Chrysler Valiant VG was the eighth Valiant built in Australia, produced by Chrysler Australia from 1970 to 1971. It was a mildly facelifted VF with a restyled front grille, rectangular headlights and new horizontal tail-lights on the sedans. Chrysler Australia continued to build a station wagon, sold as the Safari Wagon, and the utility kept virtually the same rear end for the third series in a row. The range introduced a newly built Australian Hemi six-cylinder engine, which Chrysler claimed was the most advanced of its kind in the world. It was offered as a four-door sedan, two-door hardtop, five-door wagon and two-door coupe utility.
