The Chrysler Valiant VF was built by Chrysler Australia from 1969 to 1970 and released in March 1969, replacing the VE. It was a facelifted VE with four new quarter panels, new lights and a new grille, and the four-door sedan marked a major departure from the American Plymouth Valiants that earlier Australian models were based on, with Australian engineering now taking precedence. Chrysler Australia kept building the station wagon that Plymouth in the United States had stopped in 1967, and the coupe utilities kept the VE rear styling. It was offered as a four-door sedan, two-door hardtop, five-door wagon and two-door coupe utility.
