Chrysler Valiant (VC)

Automobiles

The Chrysler Valiant VC was the fifth Valiant built in Australia, produced by Chrysler Australia from 1966 to 1967 and released in March 1966 to replace the AP6. It was longer and lower than any earlier Australian Valiant, based on the 1965 to 1966 American Plymouth Valiant but with a full-width grille and new rear styling with vertical tail-lights. The Valiant, Regal and V8 each had unique trim, and front disc brakes became an option in November 1966. It was offered as a four-door sedan, a five-door Safari wagon and a coupe utility, a Dodge 106 heavy duty utility variant carried 1,500 pounds, and 65,634 were built.
