The Chrysler TEVan was a battery electric minivan that Chrysler built from 1993 to 1995, based on the contemporary gasoline second generation Chrysler minivans and sold mainly to electric utilities across the United States. The name came from the internal model code T-0115, the electric power and the van body, and Chrysler also marketed the vehicles as the Dodge Caravan Electric and the Plymouth Voyager Electric. It followed the G-Van built by EPRI on a General Motors body. Fifty-six were built over three years and most sold for a list price of 120,000 dollars each, half with nickel-iron batteries and half with nickel-cadmium batteries.
