Chrysler LeBaron

Automobiles

The Chrysler LeBaron was a line of automobiles that Chrysler built from 1931 to 1941 and again from 1977 to 1995. The first LeBarons carried bodies by the coachbuilder LeBaron and competed with Lincoln and Packard. After buying LeBaron through its parent company Chrysler used the name on the Imperial LeBaron from 1957 to 1975, then revived it in 1977 as the company's lowest priced model. Over five generations it covered mid-size sedans, coupes, convertibles and wagons on the M, K, H, J and AA platforms, the early cars using the Slant Six or V8 engines, until the last car was built in 1995 and the Cirrus replaced it.
