Chrysler Java

Automobiles

The Chrysler Java was a concept car first introduced at the 1999 Frankfurt Motor Show, with a design based on the Chrysler minivans. Its design was more architectural than automotive, resembling a European compact car for the European market, with an egg-like shape, a tall roofline and short overhangs to create a spacious interior and theatre-style seating for rear passengers. It was first painted black and later repainted light green-silver metallic. It was powered by a 1.4 litre four-cylinder engine producing 80 horsepower and 95 pound-feet of torque with a five-speed manual transmission.
