The first generation Chrysler 200 was a restyled, rebadged and re engineered version of the third generation Chrysler Sebring that began production in 2006. Chrysler added LED lighting, thicker seat cushioning with higher quality materials and new measures to decrease noise, vibration and harshness. It was manufactured at Sterling Heights Assembly in Michigan and arrived at dealers in December 2010, with a two door convertible added in early 2011. Its model years run from 2011 to 2014.
