On December 10, 2019 Chevrolet introduced the fifth generation Tahoe at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, ahead of the GMC Yukon in January 2020 and the Cadillac Escalade in February 2020. After the COVID-19 shutdown production began at Arlington Assembly on May 18, 2020 and the Tahoe went on sale in the second half of 2020 as a 2021 model. Its model years run from 2021 to 2026. A facelift followed for the 2025 model year, with refreshed front and rear fascias.
