The North American Chevrolet Lumina was based on the mid size GM10 platform, which was shared with the Pontiac Grand Prix, Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and Buick Regal. The coupe and sedan used MacPherson front struts, and the rear suspension used Chapman struts and a transverse mounted fiberglass leaf spring. The first generation ended production in August 1994. Its model years run from 1990 to 1994.
