The third generation Colorado and Canyon debuted in July 2022 for the 2023 model year. The new model is available only with a crew cab and a single bed length. Despite being a mid size, in some dimensions it is somewhat bigger than the full size Silverado, being built around the same chassis and frame while sharing the same L3B engine. Its model years run from 2023 on. It shares a chassis and frame with the Silverado, and the GMC Canyon is its twin.
