In Canada Chevrolet kept the Bel Air as its lowest priced full size car through the 1981 model year, after the United States dropped it. For 1977 the Canadian Bel Airs were downsized like the Impala and Caprice in the United States, in sedan, coupe and station wagon bodies. The 250 cubic inch six returned as standard power in sedans, and the 1980 car got all new exterior sheet metal. Its model years run from 1977 to 1981.
