The BYD Xia is a plug-in hybrid minivan made by BYD Auto since 2025 and named for the Xia dynasty, the first dynasty in traditional Chinese historiography. It belongs to the Dynasty Series sold through Dynasty Network dealerships and is exported as the BYD M9 or the eMax 9. It was shown at the Chengdu Motor Show in August 2024 and went on sale on 8 January 2025, when BYD delivered 10,003 units in its debut month. Layouts of four, six, seven or eight seats are offered, with the fifth-generation DM-i 5.0 plug-in hybrid system and a 1.5 litre turbocharged engine, a combined range of 1,060 kilometres and the DiPilot 100 driver assistance system. Export launches include the Philippines in October 2025, Vietnam in November 2025 and Brunei in February 2026, the first right-hand-drive market. A ride-hailing version is planned under the Linghui brand as the Linghui M9.
