The BYD Tang L is a mid-size SUV that BYD Auto has built since 2025 as part of the Tang series, offered with battery electric and DM-i plug-in hybrid powertrains. It was officially unveiled in China on 16 January 2025 and launched on 9 April 2025, and it is positioned above the existing Tang as BYD's largest SUV, while earlier Tang models stay on sale at lower prices. The styling uses the Loong Face design language, once called Dragon Face, with dragon-whisker air intakes and taillights inspired by bamboo weaving. The seven-seat 2+3+2 cabin has a 15.6-inch rotating screen, an augmented reality head-up display, a Dynaudio sound system and an onboard refrigerator, and the boot holds 675 litres, or 1,960 litres with seats folded. The electric version uses a 945 volt platform with a 115 kilowatt-hour battery that charges 10 to 70 percent in six minutes.
